Michael Overby

Michael Lawrence Overby passed away Thursday, December 2nd at the age of 54. He was preceded in death by his father Larry Overby and is survived by his mother, Lavonne Overby, his siblings Steve Overby, David Overby, and Pam Sorenson, and his children Mary, Sarah, Jonathan, and Joshua Overby.

Michael graduated from Tolna High School in 1985 and then attended the University of North Dakota, graduating with a BA in Social Sciences in 1990. While in college, he became involved in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and worked for them for 10 years, making life long friends. He then went on to a career in fundraising and development work.

He loved hunting, fishing, and solving the world’s problems over a cup of coffee or sitting by a fire with friends and family.

His life was cut short by suicide, and he will be deeply missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at Simple Traditions Funeral Home in St. Paul, Sunday December 19th at 2pm.
