Paul "Parky" passed away peacefully at home on St. Paul's West Side, at the age of 84, surrounded by his loved ones on December 27, 2018. Preceded in death by wife, Louise; infant great grandson, Nikko Jr.; parents, Augustin & Delores; brothers, Manual, Frank, Pete, Michael and John; sisters, Eleanor, Evelyn and Phyllis. Survived by children, Jackie Morales, Paul Jr (Shelley), Lana, Tommy and Tony "Bones" (Julie); 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; devoted sister, Mary Martinez; family friend, Pedro Perez; many nieces and nephews, many relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed by his pet "Razi".
Parky was proud of his upbringing on St. Paul's West Side. He started working as a laborer at a young age and would later become a union laborer for Local 132. He was a man of many skills and always willing to use those skills to help someone in need.
Parky also worked for many years for Sister Giovanni at the Guadalupe Area Project School and touched many lives. Our Lady of Guadalupe Church was Parky's love. He was a lifelong member since his younger days as an altar boy into his adulthood as an usher and a member of the Men's Club. He volunteered his time as the church's handyman and groundskeeper.
Visitation Thursday, January 3 from 3-8 p.m. at SIMPLE TRADITIONS BY BRADSHAW, 488 Humboldt Ave. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, January 4, 11:00 a.m. with visitation 2 hours prior at OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE CHURCH, 401 Concord St., St. Paul. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
