Age 81 of St. Paul

Passed away peacefully at home on July 9, 2023.

Peter was born in Gloucester, England and immigrated to Canada when he was a teenager. Shortly after his family immigrated to the United States. Peter was drafted into the army as a medic where he met Kathryn (Kay). They were married in 1966 at the Presidio Chapel in San Francisco. Immediately following his honorable discharge, they returned to Inglewood, CA. where he worked for Pacific Bell. After a year or so, Peter and Kay moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where Peter continued his career with the Bell System, from which he eventually retired, and to raise their family.

Peter enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling the world with Kay, and soccer, which he both played, coached and refereed.  He was an avid Liverpool Football Club fan, and proudly wore the LFC colors whenever he could.  Peter had a gift for connecting with people and was able to strike up a conversation with anyone. Most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.

Peter is preceded in death by his parents, Hilda and John, and sister Susan.  He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kay; children Sean and Lori (Tim), and grandchildren Anya and Ben.  He is further survived by sister, Jan (Ivan) and brother-in-law, Harv.

Funeral service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church (104 Snelling Ave S., St. Paul) on Friday, August 25th, 2023.  Visitation starting at 10:00 AM with service following at 11:00 AM, followed by a celebration meal.
