Ralph dedicated over 27.5 years of service to the Ramsey County Social Service and Welfare Department, leaving a lasting impact on his community.
In retirement, Ralph found joy in tending to the Wheaton homestead by meticulously caring for the land and gardens. He patiently dismantled the family barn one board at a time. He removed many large trees, each followed with a rousing fire. A testament to his industrious spirit. There he was a beloved fixture, enriching the lives of those around him with his kindness and genuine affection. The staff at Perkins became an extended family to Ralph.
Ralph was a devout member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Saint Paul for over 60 years. He enjoyed sharing his passion for photography with his family and friends through his slideshows and photo albums. His peonies were his pride and joy and he happily showed them off each spring as well as splitting and sharing his heritage plants with loved ones to enjoy for years to come. Ralph's legacy of love, integrity, and selflessness will endure in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A celebration of Ralph's remarkable life will be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 700 Snelling Ave S, Saint Paul, on Wednesday, April 3rd, at 11:00 A.M., with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. Memorial contributions can be made to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
