Beloved Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother,
Great Grandmother & Friend to Many
Age 84, passed away peacefully at Walker Methodist - Westwood Ridge WSP MN, on March 12, 2014. Born September 21, 1929 in St. Paul, MN. Ramona was a life long resident of St. Paul's West Side. Preceded in death by husband, Frank Sr.; sons, James, David, Michael, Frank Jr.; daughter, Anna Marie (Krueger); parents, Ernesto & Soledad Reyes; and siblings Ernie, Henry (Chato), Joseph, Louie, Rudy & Cecelia "Sally" (Nehmer). Survived by children, Shirley (Joseph) Elizondo, John & James (Judy) Rodriguez; many grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren; and siblings, Pete, John (Connie), Paul (Lorena), James (Susan), Thomas, Edward & Shirley (Walter) Andino. After marrying, Ramona became a homemaker raising 6 children. In her later career she joined St. Paul's school district thru PERA and was a teaching aide at Mississippi grade school, Humboldt junior high & Roosevelt junior high. Ramona was a devoted wife & loving mother. She was married to Frank J. Rodriguez Sr. who was elected the first Hispanic member to the State House of Representatives in 1979. They were married for 60 years. Our combined family's wishes to express our sincerest gratitude and appreciation for the fine attentive care Ramona received while at Westwood Ridge. Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Monday, March 17th at OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE CHURCH, 401 Concord St. @ Hwy. 52, St. Paul. Visitation 4-8PM Sunday (TODAY) at SIMPLE TRADITIONS by BRADSHAW, 488 Humboldt Avenue at Wabasha, St. Paul and one hour prior to Mass at the Church. At Ramona's request, memorials preferred to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
