Rhonda Latimer

March 8, 1961 — March 7, 2025

Rhonda Latimer was born on March 8, 1961. She passed unexpectedly on March 7, 2025. She lived 12 years in Peoria, Illinois and had some lifelong memories and friends from Stella Court.

She was born with an artistic creative mind, a great smile and a quick wit which created hours of laughter. She was always the life of a party. Her parents, JoAnne and Richard, moved to Olathe in 1975. She gained many lifelong friends from her crazy adventures in Kansas. Rhonda went to high school in Olathe and lived there until her mother passed away in 1995. She baked many birthday cakes and created a birthday sign for all birthdays.

In 1995, she moved to Inver Grove Heights and opened a gift basket business called The Celebration Station with her sister Roberta. Once again, she was able to use her customer service skills and artistic ability in the business of gift baskets. The store closed in 2004. She had a huge heart for those she loved and loved to bake treats for them. She is in heaven now indicating that today, "there will be cupcakes and cookies for everyone."

Rhonda lived with Tim, brother-in-law and Roberta for the last 30 years of her life. She leaves a big void in their lives. Tim and Rhonda played dice twice a day and the small family played a game after dinner daily for family time.

Rhonda is survived, by 2 sisters and their husbands. Roberta (Tim) Stow, and Rebecca (Steve) Samuelson. Her parents, who are deceased, were awaiting her with open arms into heaven where she will have a new body and can breathe again. She was a great sister, sweet, creative, witty, and kind to many friends. She loved deeply and said she wanted a wall of love pictures which showed the memories of her life. She felt she was a wealthy soul with many memories and friends.

Your laugh, your heartfelt hugs, your smile, your overflowing thoughtfulness and kindness will never be forgotten. Rhonda was deeply loved and will be missed forever!
