Richard "Dick" Weisman
Age 88, of St. Paul, went to be with the lord on December 11, 2022. Dick retired in 1997 after 36 years of dedicated police work. His role as a St. Paul homicide officer was applauded by those he worked with, as well as those he worked for. Colleagues could recount stories of his entertaining testimony in court. Citizens recalled how he served them and they wrote letters of praise to the department. In his spare time, Dick enjoyed dancing and playing cards, along with trips to the family cabin. He will be remembered for his tenacity, good humor, and gentle nature.
Preceded in death by parents, Peter and Elizabeth; siblings, Jeanne and Raymond (Maureen); and grandchild, Angela.
Survived by loving wife, Patricia; children, Kathryn, Deborah (Peter), and Richard "Scott;" grandchildren, Nichole, Daniel, Jacob, and Rebecca; 3 great-grandchildren; sibling, Dennis (Kathleen); and nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral Mass held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at St. Matthews Catholic Church (510 Hall Ave., St. Paul). Visitation one hour prior. Luncheon to follow service. Private family interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
