Bob passed away peacefully January 2nd, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Bob graduated from Mound High School in 1976, and earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota in 1981. Bob was an employee of DB Schenker for over 35 years. He enjoyed hiking and canoeing up North, as well as spring break trips to the Gulf of Mexico with his family. He liked all sports, from broomball to baseball, whether as a participant or spectator. One thing was certain with Bob; he was the peacemaker and his kindness and great sense of humor always made you feel better for having spent time with him. As sweet and as good as they come, he also loved his sweets, and was always willing to share. Bob was a great son, brother, husband and father. He is much loved and will not be forgotten. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marit and Robert; and survived by his wife of 15 years, Andrea; children, Niklas , and Annika; siblings, Beth (John) Bessessen, Mark (Mary), Bruce (Trish), and Todd (Aldene); many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service for Bob will be held Friday, January 11th, 2:30 PM at Augustan Lutheran Church, 1400 S. Robert St, S, St. Paul, with a gathering of family and friends from 3:00-5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Please give to the American Cancer Society.
