Rose Marie Garcia

d. November 16, 2020

On November 16th, 2020 God received an angel into His Kingdom. Rose Marie Garcia lived a full life and, at the age of 78, left this earth with her loving family by her side until her very last breath. Rose will be missed by many as she touched our lives with her kindness and warmth. She loved without bounds and cared deeply for her family and friends. She was always smiling and positive. With every single hug, you knew that you were forever in her soul. With that said, her one and only soulmate was her husband Joseph Garcia. They celebrated their 60th anniversary in April this year. Rose and Joe epitomized true love with their words and actions, and those that witnessed their interactions were in awe of their bond until the very end. And with that love for each other, they opened their combined heart to a large extended family.

Rose’s generosity knew no limits. The amount of adoration she gave to her sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren was insurmountable. Each fond memory is forever etched into our brains of someone that loved us so dearly that we couldn’t possibly ever show enough appreciation equal to her devotion. Some of her favorite words were “don’t worry” because she never wanted her family to be concerned about her. She was quick to change the conversation about anything that had to do with her, always bringing the focus back to those she cared about. Even though we knew this was her favorite diversion, we always fell for it because deep down we knew she wanted to hear about us more than anything.

Some of our fondest memories of Grandma Rose were: rolling tamales at Christmas while she laughed at everyone who drank too much; enjoying the dozens-upon-dozens of tacos she made for every special occasion; being there for us in tough situations, always ready-with words of hope and love; watching Grandpa Joe with adoration and pride, as he entertained us with stories from the past; giving long “goodbyes” and “see you later” hugs, while turning the other way to hide the tears swelling in her eyes (knowing that anytime away from her would be too long). We miss you already, Grandma.

So many people knew Rose as sister, ma, grandma, great grandma, babe, rolly-polly, friend and a Pharaoh-ette (the Hot Rod club she and Joe were very involved in). She lived a full and happy life which will be forever remembered. Rose was preceded in death by son, Joey. She is survived by husband, Joe; sons, Fred and Tim; honorable daughters, Cheryl, Tracy, Linda, Christina and Jen; grandchildren, Timmy, Casey, Daniel, Trevor and Kelsey; great grandchildren Isla and Draper; and sister, Sally.
