Sharon (Blyton) Stine

Stine, Sharon Kay

Age 85, of Fridley, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2024.

Sharon was born on February 28, 1939, in Prairie Farm, Wisconsin. After moving to St. Paul, she attended Wilson High School where she graduated in 1957. Soon after graduating, Sharon met Kermit Milton Stine whom she married and then relocated to Arizona where they eventually settled in Bowie. While in Bowie, Sharon worked at the local cotton gin as well as different local restaurants. It was at these restaurants where Sharon found her passion for cooking which was reflected in her extensive cookbook collection. Upon the death of her husband Kermit, Sharon relocated back to Minnesota in 1980 where she began a long career as a Proofreader for West Publishing. After more than 20 years of service she retired in 2001. Sharon and Kermit had five children: Wendy Doris Allison, John Thomas Stine, Rebecca Ann Stine, Daniel Kermit Stine, and Duane Paul Stine. 

Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Milton Stine; parents, Thomas Walter Blyton and Doris Beatrice Blyton; brothers, Gary Laverne Blyton, Merle Keyes Blyton, Ollie Mae Blyton, and Thomas Homer Blyton; sister, Julaine Doris Blyton, and daughter, Rebecca Ann Stine. She is survived by her children, Wendy Doris Allison, John Thomas Stine (Candy), Daniel Kermit Stine, and Duane Paul Stine and his fiancée, Nicole. As well as eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. And her sister, Jo Anne Van Norman (Richard) and brothers, Otis Irvin Blyton and Bradley Boyd Blyton (Lynda).

Celebration of Life held at 2PM, on Tuesday, May 21, at Simple Traditions by Bradshaw (671 Snelling Ave. S., St. Paul). Visitation one hour prior. Donations in Sharon's memory may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
