Sr. Blandina Taibon, was born on June 3rd, 1928 in St. Vigilio, in the province of Bolzanio, in North Italy.
She entered the Missionary Sisters of St. Peter Claver Congregation on July 6th, 1950 and made her First Vows on May 25th, 1953.
As a Junior, she worked in Dublin, Ireland; Toronto, Canada; and St. Louis MO where she renewed her Final Profession on May 25th, 1963.
After that, she same to St. Paul, where she worked for many years with the printing and folding of the magazine called “Echo from Africa and Other Continent” in printing press at our convent, first in West St. Paul on Isabel Street and then since 1981 in Woodbury on Century Ave.
In 2005, she was transferred to Chicago, helped in Polish and English administration. In the last few years the Lord entrusted to Sr. Blandina a very special mission, to share in His suffering which she embraced fully knowing that is was the most perfect way to cooperate in the salvation of souls.
On July 24th, 2021, after 68 years of religious life, the Lord called Sr. Blandina to her eternal reward to be with Him and to enjoy forever the beatific vision of God.
We thank God for Sister Blandina’s presence among us: and her testimony and example of life to each one of us, for her total dedication, faithfulness and devotion that her life confirmed for us the motto of the Congregation, “The most divine of things divine is to cooperate in the salvation od Souls.
