Ventura Ben Yanez

Passed away peacefully on May 20, 2018. Ben was born in San Angelo, TX and moved to St. Paul as a young boy. He was living for the last two years at Cerenity Assisted Living in St. Paul. Preceded in death by parents, Francisco and Elvira; siblings, Arnold Sr., Emmett, Emily, Lorenzo Sr., Crispina, Leonard Sr., Rudy, Henry and Louis Sr.; wife, Bridget nee Vasquez; daughter, Margo Keely; son, Andrew; grandson, Benjamin; granddaughter, Natalie. Survived by sisters, Frances (Sal) Lopez and Vera (Felix) Diaz; son-in-law, David Keely; children, Frank (Paula), Johnny, Joe (Judy) and Tommy (Jody); grandchildren, Christopher (Ana) Christina (Brad) Keely Wood, Erica, Daniel, Lauren, Jared (Kendahl), Bobby (Katherine), Clay, Anthony and Niko; 9 great-grandchildren. Ben was a proud World War II veteran and member of AmVets. He was an avid golfer in MN and TX and an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in St Paul. Many thanks to the staff at Cerenity for their friendship and compassion during Ben's stay. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Mass of Christian Burial, 10AM, Wednesday, May 30th at OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE CHURCH, 401 Concord St. St Paul. Visitation, Tuesday, May 29th from 4PM - 8PM at SIMPLE TRADITIONS BY BRADSHAW, 488 Humboldt Ave and one hour prior to Mass at Church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
