Victoria "Vickie" Helmuth

Victoria M. (Vickie) Helmuth was born in East Hampton, Long Island on April 26, 1945. She died unexpectedly in Minneapolis on November 7, 2023.

Vickie was preceded in death by father, John “Jack” Lockman Helmuth, Sr., mother, Adele Walker Helmuth and brother, John Lockman Helmuth, Jr.

A Millikin University graduate (Decatur, Illinois) with a history major, Vickie worked in Chicago and California before settling in St. Louis Park, MN.  She was employed in the Twin Cities by The Equitable Life, Minnegasco (now CenterPoint Energy), the Federal Reserve, and she retired from Target.

She enjoyed the rich cultural scene of Minneapolis with her “Culture Group.”  Vickie kept her knowledge of and interest in history current by attending University of St. Thomas’ Selim Center lectures.  Many summers Vickie looked forward to refining her writing skills and meeting up with friends at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.
