Age 97 of St. Paul, welcomed into God's loving arms on September 9, 2017. Born in Fort Atkinson, WI on August 18, 1920. Married Charles Maynard on May 8, 1948 in Palmyra, WI and moved to Park Ridge, IL where they had five children. Vivian's family was the most important part of her life. Not only did she help raise her siblings after her mother's passing but also raised her five children alone. She had boundless energy and had a smile for everybody. She loved to travel and win at bingo. She was a seamstress, saleswoman and volunteered at church and schools. Preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Catherine Foelker and siblings, Irene, Arthur, Ruth, Marion, James and Ray. Survived by children, Catherine Gallup, Charles Maynard, Jr., Sharon (Paul) Quast, Sandra Castagne and Colleen Mellyn; brother, William (Edna) Foelker; grandchildren, Jameson, Brian, Christine, Heide, Leigh Ann, Lauren, Paul, Heather, Dawn and Alexis; 10 great-grandchildren; cousins, nieces, nephews and their children; and a lifetime of friends. Memorial Service Saturday, October 14th at 2PM at Lyngblomsten Care Center Chapel, 1415 Almond Avenue, St. Paul. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association. www.alz.org
