William Lorsung

We were privileged to share the life of Willie Lorsung (01/43-10/22), who peacefully transitioned at home, surrounded by family. Willie was preceded in death by his parents, (Chris and Cordelia [Dobmeyer] Lorsung); brothers, Ferd and Paul; niece, Teresa; and sister-in-law, Ethna. He is profoundly missed by his wife of 43 years, Liadan McKiernan; their children, Éireann (Matthew), Michael (Kristyn), Cullen (Amy), Noah (Randa); and grandson, August, in whom he delighted.

Willie loved family, art, music, books, and good company. A lasting joy was photographing a dig in Egypt (egypt78.com). As a longtime member of Spirit of St Stephen’s Catholic Community, he shared his gift for music there as well as at home. He dedicated 32 years to teaching young people in MPS special ed. and CD programs.
