Yolanda Foster

Yolanda K. Foster, age 30, received her wings Wednesday, July 12, 2017.

Yolanda K. Foster was born February 2, 1987 in Racine, WI. She was the older of 2 children born to Darlene (Foster) Evans. She accepted Christ in her life at the age of 8 years old and attended Evangelistic S.O.R. Movement Church. In 2005, Yolanda graduated from J.I. Case High School.

Yolanda worked as a Personal Care Attendant. Her caring and nurturing spirit was always present to those she encountered. Yolanda loved people and took pride in caring for her family and friends. She was very outgoing but she didn't hesitate to speak her mind. Yolanda played many roles in her family, but she loved her role as an aunty. Yolanda loved children, but her nieces and nephews were her pride and joy. She was 100% dedicated to being a great aunty and that she was. Yolanda loved poetry, traveling, cracking jokes and spending quality time with the ones she loved.

Yolanda was preceded in death by her grandfather, Pastor William H. Foster; grandmother, Pastor Mildred J. Foster; great-aunt, Jeanette Lloyd; and cousin, Adonis Lloyd. She is survived by her mother, Darlene Evans; brother, Thomas Evans; stepsister and brother Zaqueda and Dewayne; nieces, Samara, Rain, Ta'marrow, and Lamayah; nephews, Jayden, Thomas and Thomas III; a very dear and special Godmother and great-aunt, Helen Lumpkin, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as many other friends and family.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 29th at 12:00 PM with visitation from 11:00-12:00 at Simple Traditions by Bradshaw, 671 Snelling Ave. S, St. Paul, MN
