Avelardo "Chon" Gallegos, Jr.
Age 58 of Texas passed away on Friday, December 30th.
He is preceded in death by his parents Abelardo (Lalo) and Ernestina.
He is survived by his children Christopher (Venessa) Gallegos, Krystle (Tesfaye) Aschenaki, Lisa (Erick) Tysk, AJ Gallegos; Grandchildren Victoria, Natalia, Valencia, Olivia, Tesfaye, Niko, Ruth; and many siblings, nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
Chon was an incredibly hard working man with a tenacity and grit for life. Known for his charismatic disposition and selfless nature, he made it a point to make those around him laugh as often as possible. You could frequently find Chon listening to his beloved rock tunes while hard at work on various cars or snacking on sweets and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. He will be dearly missed.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 20th at Simple Traditions - Humboldt, 488 Humboldt Ave, Saint Paul beginning at 2:00 P.M. with a visitation an hour prior.
Memorials are preferred to the family.
